“Nick Cash's snarling vocals came across much better live than on vinyl. His singing live came from deeper down—closer to the heart—so together with the music hitting the crowd like a sledgehammer. This was the post"punk"-"New Wave" promise of powerful, intelligent Rock n Roll being fulfilled.”

999 concert review, page 7
“It is benefit time in Lawrence, with the Opera House staging fund-raising shows to obtain capital to remain in business. It seems the banks do not want to renew/extend notes because the whole area might be leveled so a shopping mall can be developed. Off the Wall Hall, which is a couple of blocks away, faces a similar threatening future.”
